January Newsletter 2019
A Happy New Year, good health and prosperity to you from all of the team at The Beehive!
2018 was something of a landmark year when we scooped a sackful of awards, including:
- Berkshire Dining Pub of the Year
- Top 10 Gastro Pubs in the UK
- Top 100 restaurants in the UK
- 6/10 in the Good Food Guide and Michelin guide recognition.
As we begin our 5th year at The Beehive, here’s a flavour of what to expect in 2019.
First off, I have written a New Bar Menu with a great selection of your favourite (and highly affordable) winter warmers. More, it comes with a £10 Voucher for you to spend on your next visit to our restaurant! Take a peak here.
We have also devised a terrific line-up of Special Events in the coming months. Highlights include two more of my cookery masterclasses and two evenings exploring the flavours of India with top chefs Anu Ghag and Cyrus Todiwala.
And don’t miss our Quiz Night on Thursday, 17th January! Our Burns Night Celebration on the 23rd! And on January 30th, I am particularly thrilled to welcome Alastair Little, perhaps the greatest pioneer of modern British cooking, for a very special dinner. Click here for the full events programme.
Finally, we continue to run our great value Classics Lunch Menu: 2 courses at £19.95 or 3 courses at £24.95. This menu will change daily and offer some wonderful dishes for a quick and easy lunch. And don’t forget our delicious selection of prepared food products on sale in our ‘Beehive Shop’.
We look forward to welcoming you back to The Beehive in 2019.

Deliciously aromatic and highly perfumed, exuding ripe nectarine, pink grapefruit and lemon zest with a lifted floral fragrance reminiscent of jasmine and elderflower. Classic ripe Marlborough Sauvignon with melon and gooseberry flavours and a touch of passionfruit, wound into a generous, mouth-filling palate that finishes dry and crisp.
